Kimberly K. Manglberger

Kimberly Manglberger

Kimberly Manglberger is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Texas and a founding partner of Manglberger & Thomson, PLLC. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University and her Juris Doctor from St. Mary's University School of Law.

Before becoming an attorney, Kim spent more than a decade serving Texas communities as a licensed Peace Officer. Since obtaining her peace officer license in 2013, she has served as a deputy sheriff, police officer, deputy marshal, and criminal investigator. This unique background gives her firsthand knowledge of how criminal cases are built, investigated, and prosecuted.

Today, Kim uses that experience to provide strategic, client-focused representation in criminal defense, family law, probate, estate planning, civil litigation, and mediation throughout the Texas Hill Country and surrounding areas.

Criminal Defense

Few attorneys possess the combination of legal training and real-world law enforcement experience that Kim brings to criminal cases. Having worked on investigations from the inside, she understands both the challenges faced by law enforcement officers and the procedures that must be followed to protect constitutional rights.

From misdemeanors and felonies to complex post-conviction matters, Kim carefully analyzes every case for weaknesses in the evidence, procedural errors, and potential constitutional violations. Her experience on both sides of the criminal justice system provides valuable insight when advocating for her clients.

DWI Defense

Kim received extensive training in DWI enforcement during her law enforcement career and is certified in the administration of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Her understanding of roadside investigations, field sobriety testing, and arrest procedures allows her to identify issues that may affect the validity of a DWI arrest and the admissibility of evidence.

Appeals and Post-Conviction Relief

Not every case ends with a trial. Kim also represents clients in criminal appeals and post-conviction proceedings, including writs of habeas corpus. Whether a conviction resulted from a constitutional violation, ineffective assistance of counsel, or newly discovered evidence, she understands the complex legal issues involved in seeking relief after conviction.

Family Law

Family law matters often involve some of life's most important relationships. Kim represents clients in divorce, custody disputes, modifications, and other family law matters with a focus on practical solutions and the best interests of the children involved. As a mother herself, she understands the significance of these cases and the lasting impact they can have on families.

Probate and Estate Planning

Kim helps individuals and families protect what matters most through comprehensive estate planning services, including wills, powers of attorney, advance directives, and related planning documents. She also assists families through the probate process with compassion, efficiency, and clear guidance during difficult times.

Mediation Services

As a certified mediator with extensive experience in negotiations, conflict resolution, and de-escalation techniques, Kim helps parties work toward practical and lasting solutions outside of the courtroom. Her goal is to facilitate productive discussions that allow participants to resolve disputes efficiently while maintaining control over the outcome.

Whether representing clients in court or helping parties reach a resolution through mediation, Kim is committed to providing knowledgeable, effective, and personalized legal representation grounded in integrity, service, and respect for every client she serves.
